Salsa Time

Yesterday and today I made home made salsa with some of our tomatoes. PhotoGrid_1502289617143

This is the first year I have ever used fresh ingredients to make it. I’ve always used Ms. Wages Salsa Mixes to make it before. I wanted to try it this way and it turned out delicious. I used bell peppers in ours because we can’t eat jalepenos anymore. I chopped my onions, bell peppers and cilantro in my food processor. I processed my tomatoes and blended them up and used my big roasting pan. I added cumin, minced garlic, sugar, salt and lime juice. I do not have measurements and I’m sorry. I always just eye ball every thing when making this big of a batch. You can read how I process my tomatoes on my Canning and Preserving Page.

Tonight for supper we had Zucchini Boats made with our zucchini and my pasta sauce from tomatoes from my garden, with Asian Green Beans from our green beans in the garden, and fresh cream corn from our garden. I told y’all we eat good up in here.

And he says I spoil her. Y’all be the judge.

Last night he was helping one of Dallas’ friends with his Algebra home work and feeding and burping at the same time. He’s a good Mr. Mom. Lol.

About 4dfarms

I am a wife to an amazingly dedicated, devoted, and loyal husband whom God sent to me. I am a mother to two wonderful boys to whom I'd give my life for. Around here we have homeschooled, we farm, garden, hunt, fish and anything else we want to do. Although I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes its hard for me to keep up. If it was not for my husband and two boys, I could not do some of what I do. They really do help me alot. We work together as a team in my home. We try our best to train up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Yea, they slip sometimes and correction has to be made. Thats life. I want so badly to be just like the Proverbs 31 woman. My grandmother did an awesome job of it and Id like to fill her shoes.
