Throw back Thursday

I will start with throw back Thursday to catch up. This is a pic of me and my honey YEARS ago when we were stationed at Camp Pendelton, CA. We had gone to San Diego Zoo that day. photo PhotoGrid_1390495608231_zpsizo16lyu.jpg

Well, school was called off Friday because of frigid temps and one of our local schools was having heating problems.  All our schools in the surrounding areas try to stay on the same  schedule as to not interfere with graduation ceremonies at the end of the year and have to reschedule. So usually if one school in the county is out, they all are. I got breakfast covered with turkey melts and hashbrowns. Davids got supper covered in roaster with goose chilli. Ms. Ellen Larson im going to bring you some this weekend since you helped us pattern them for a month. I will let you know what day.

However, Dallas went ahead and did school with the help of his big brother cause I was getting ready for a drs appt. He had an easy day and it didnt take him long. Now this is memories. Big brother helping little brother with school. Dakota calling out spelling words and vocabulary words. He still remembers how we use to do school. Im so proud.

After he got done with school they got ready to go to the duck club for the weekend and I had to leave for my doctors appt.  They left but he called me to see if I was still in town and wanted to meet at Sams Club so we wouldnt have to come back later on that week. I hauled all the stuff home and they went  on to duck club.  When they left it was just me, myself and I and yes I talk to them too. It was lonely but I survived.  I ran our hunting truck through a much needed car wash since it was caked in mud and that is what I will be driving for a while. I will explain  in a moment.

Dallas could not wait to get to the duck club because it was his bday weekend. Daddy had gotten a bday cake and a big ole choc chip cookie cake. That thing had so much choc and choc chips and whipped cream and I dont know what else. He had the awfullest sugar rush. Oh I forgot ice cream. Plus when they got there the guys at the duck club bought a cupcake cake. WOW! Heres on of his cakes. photo IMG_20140124_174250_311_zpsbcxabnab.jpg

Daddy sent me some pics of their trip. Littlest Duck Commander with his eyes to the sky. Just for the record we were duck hunters before we even knew who Duck Dynasty was.

I got my outside chores done and came in and took a shower. I loaded up my truck with some goodies for my sisters and met my mom and dad half way with the stuff and they were going to take it to them. This is my sister post on face book: I am thankful to my Momma and Dad, Janice and Thomas, and my baby sister Tracy Miller Dixon for all the stuff they sent today, much needed!!! We got jars of green beans, Black eyed peas, bags of squash in freezer, homemade salsa, soups, bread(cornbread and biscuits) and homemade jelly!!!!! Omg!!! I love this stuff fresh from garden and made at home like my grand mother used to do when we were growing up!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! Gotta love family!!!!

I had to go back to TSC to take back the dump cart tires. They were not the never flat ones like I wanted. Came back home and desperately wanted to take a nap since I had a splitting headache and was exhausted. I think I cat napped. I got up had some of daddies goose chilli he made from the night before. I managed to make some more cornbread like my mother in law finally. It was awesome. But something was missing, I had to have something sweet to go down behind it. Lets see what I came up with photo PhotoGrid_1390701205150_zpsqvbvzrf4.jpg

There thats better. I got the kitchen cleaned and watched believe it or not…..Gilligans Island on TV Land. Have not seen that in forever. It was refreshing from all this other crap they show on tv.

Well the day finally arrived for one little guy. 11 years ago today Dakota Dixon got the baby he prayed so hard for. Yep. He called Dallas Dixon his baby not brother. That was the longest 9 mths of his life. Everyday he checked my belly to see how much he was growing. He was my coach in the labor and delivery room telling me when to push momma push. He wanted to cold cock the dr for hitting his baby on the rear end and made him cry. Dallas you are very blessed with a big brother even though he picks on you. Hes got your back through life. You are turning into such a nice young man and im glad your still attached to me. I love you. photo PhotoGrid_1390744387029_zpsewnkfubc.jpg

About 4dfarms

I am a wife to an amazingly dedicated, devoted, and loyal husband whom God sent to me. I am a mother to two wonderful boys to whom I'd give my life for. Around here we have homeschooled, we farm, garden, hunt, fish and anything else we want to do. Although I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes its hard for me to keep up. If it was not for my husband and two boys, I could not do some of what I do. They really do help me alot. We work together as a team in my home. We try our best to train up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Yea, they slip sometimes and correction has to be made. Thats life. I want so badly to be just like the Proverbs 31 woman. My grandmother did an awesome job of it and Id like to fill her shoes.
