Well were still rocking on. Weve been busy but were having fun.
Still rocking on with karate. Daddy has joined back in classes but of course I cant get pics of that. They go to class together and me and Dakota stay home. Dallas has been teaching daddy his next few katas and he is learning really fast. My man can do anything if you ask me.
Opening Day of gun season we all split up and went to different blinds. Dallas went with Daddy, Dakota was in his favorite blind and I was in my Tajmahal blind. It was cold. I had my heater but I only turn it on long enough to get the chill out and turn it back off. Only a little spike came out in my field. Go on little buddy, grow up. We went back that evening and Dakota got us a doe. David wanted to process this one himself so we quartered it up and we are going to smoke some shoulders. He cut the backstrap in steaks for me for grilling.
I let Dallas loose one day and let him bake some homemade buns. He did awesome, I didnt do anything but supervise. When we ran out, Dakota told brother he was going to have to make more. lol My little baker.
This whole month we have participated in the 30 days of Thankfulness on facebook. Although I am frustrated that fb has lost alot of my posts in cyber space and I cant find them. I will try to do the best I can to say what all Im thankful for.
First and foremost on my list I am thankful for God creating me. Im thankful for his Salvation, Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness, Protection, Provision, and Promises. Without him I could do nothing.
Im also very thankful for my grandparents to whom I learned so much. They helped mold my early childhood years and more. While my momma was working hard providing for us, we were always with them. This is where I get all my gardening and old fashioned ways of doing things from. I miss them so much.
Next is my whole life and soul. My husband. God knew exactly what he was doing when he brought me this man. Im thankful for his loyalty, dedication, devotion, provision, love, compassion, and his all around awesomeness. Most of all he loves me.
Then God gave me our two blessings straight from Heaven. Dakota Quentin and Dallas Quaid. They are also my life. We are learning so much as parents in this world. It is hard. My kids will make mistakes but they will learn with God and our help and prayers as parents. Im thankful were going to Heaven together as a family. I dont have pics of mine and Davids baptism but I do of our boys.
Im so thankful for my husbands job which always provides for us even though it may call him out of town some. I love our new home and the things we have been able to pay off.
Im thankful for my church. It is not a local hang out and I dont go to keep up with the Jones’s or catch up on the latest gossip. I go to give thanks and praise to God for what he has done for me and my family and to get not only my cup filled, but let my saucer over flow too.
This has been a good weekend. It was opening day of Duck Season. This is what Dakota lives for every year. His eyes are always to the sky. I told yall hes been blowing a duck call since he was 7 mths old. He traded his pacifier in for it. Daddy and Dakota went by theirselves this weekend because it is so crowded and me and Dallas would never be able to compete with 30 something experienced duck hunters. They are having a blast so far. Daddy is going to take Dallas during the week so it will not be crowded and he has a better chance. Hes got to practice his calling.
While they are gone, me and Dallas are getting our Christmas groove on. I have waited all year to decorate since this is the first Christmas in our new home. I also wait til after Thanksgiving til I decorate. So yesterday we got out all the stuff and started decorating. We will have to wait til the boys get home to decorate the tree cause we are going to get a live one this year. We decorated a few things. I got my manger scene out. I will take pics as I go and post them when were done or maybe as progress goes. I want plenty of bows and garland this year. We always start our movies too and make treats, so last night we made cake in a mug. You can google it for the recipe.
I have a Christmas village that finally after 11 yrs I got to put it back up. Ive never had the extra room to put it up. I will be adding to it and take pics.
Well, its time for us another movie so I guess im going to sign off for now.
