I will explain the title of my post toward the end. Right now I will get you caught up on the latest.
First Jr. Varsity Game we played at Iuka, MS. This is the time Dakota will get more playing time cause he has to make up for taking off last year. I think he proved himself well in this game. One time he was blocking and going for a tackle and out of no where he was hit blind sided and down they went. Took my breath away cause we were not expecting that. I was video taping and didnt say a word. Dakota was proud. He went back and watched the game when we got home. It was a hard hit but he got up like nothing ever happened. But…he remembers the guys number cause we play them again next week. lol Here is a few shots. Friday night was the Varsity game. I have not been to a high school football game in years. I had so much fun. This is the banner on the road to the high school. Yes our town is proud of or Bobcats. Both bands did exceptionaly well during half time. End of game 16-10 0ur favor. I ave already started clipping pics out of the newspapers to start him a scrap book of this years season.
I didnt sign up for as much this year at church with our Teamkid program we have during the school year. I never know what time he is going to get out of practice on Wednesdays so there may be times I may have to leave and come back.
I will take pics of games and send them to daddy so he can be a part of things like I always do. I also will video tape them too. He always catches up when he gets back home with the boys activities and yes he will sit and watch every video, thats just the kind of dad he is.
We ordered Dallas a Hipkido Ghi for karate. This is a nicer ghi and it will have the Budoshin White Tiger Federation embroidered on the back in Japanese. It is cool. We hope it comes in before his competition but if not he is ok with it.
Around here we have been trying to plant wheat and oats for the doves since dove season opens tomorrow.
Its football season again not just at school but college again. I am die hard ALABAMA> i was born in Alabama what can I say. Saturday we were glued to the tv to watch them play their first game I will not brag cause I have readers from Virginia. lol
Dallas and I are doing great in school. We are actually ahead on a few things. Never know what can happen so we are prepared. Dakota got his first progress report in his classes and he is doing well also.
I had a chance to pick and process tomatoes to save up to start making my spaghetti sauce and salsa. I will make a whole other blog post for that so you can save it if you like.
Around the farm it has been ummmm….HORMONAL you might could say. My girls are fighting and my boys are still fighting. The young ones are just trying to stay out of the way. My girls are flirting and hanging around the boys fence and driving them insame. I am writing everyones cycles down so I can plan breedings next month. Its so much easier when you have a buck on the premises. My girls in the milk room. They know their turn, and God forbid one jump line. Tasha says, “I SEE YOU!!!! ITS MY TURN”
I have mastered making goat milk yogurt. It turned out delicious. Already made a second batch.
Daddy has been blessed enough that he found him another truck. He needed the next new vehicle since he travels. He did not want me to post it on facebook cause he is not a boaster. I agreed. But he didnt say I couldnt post it here. Here it is. It is really nice and Mommy Likey Likey. I want one now. Dallas said I was worse than Daddy in it. I got to test it out and drive it before he left. Dallas said I spun tires better than Daddy. It is a diesel and boy does it have power. We were going to get me a hummer but once I drove “THE DIESEL” yep I named him I know now I have to have one just like it. Daddy is looking already. We want his and hers. This is Da Boys fixing him up. If anybody deserves this its this man no doubt. Dakota is so much like Daddy.
My cousins in CA are ok with the rim fires still on look out though. They have not had to evacuate. I finally got a chance to watch the new, I dont watch it alot cause I get mad. But I wanted to see what was going on.
Now I will explain my title of my post. Today Daddy left for SC. We knew it was coming but that doesnt make it easier. He stalled as long as he could and yes I was a titty baby and cried. This time is different somehow, I think its because of what all weve been through since January. If you are just now getting my blog you can go back to Januarys posts and catch up. It has been hard to say good bye today. This is the first time Dallas has cried. Usually he is packed and ready a few days ahead and planning his driving route, but today he waited up til the last minute and was begging for us to say, “Dont go” He has goals again this trip and Im not going to be the reason he doesnt reach them. We stayed with him up til he has to leave then to make it all easier we all left at the same time. We had to make a Walmart run. lol He would rather us not be here when he leaves. I would rather not see him drive off. I was trying to be a big girl but it just didnt work. Youd think Id be use to it by now. He was in the USMC and coming home on leave and going out again. Now, this career. Trust me, it doesnt get better. We missed church. Im a emotional basket case and just dont want to be around anybody or talk to anybody right now.
Me and the boys went to Walmart to get my dove license and some dove shells. Tomorrow is opening day of dove season for us. Me and the boys will embark on a new adventure. First time preparing for and going on a dove hunt without Daddy. But Daddy number two (Dakota) has stepped up to the plate and getting things prepared. Guns cleaned and ready. Shells in bags. Dove chairs loaded. Just setting on ready. Time to get our hunt on…..Yep he will clean them too if we should be as so blessed to get any. Smart kid. Daddy has taught him everything he knows.
