So far we have been trying to squeeze in some fun times before school starts and dad goes out of town again.
Some days weve been meeting ourselves coming in and out of the drive way. Dad takes Dakota to football practice and I take Dallas to karate. Not much longer and he will be ready for his next belt test. Cant wait it has been so long. Now were getting him ready for tournaments in Sept. He is excited and alot more students will be going this year from the Dojo.
Ive still been having some trouble with my RA. I went to my Dr. appt and he evaluated me, but he said he wanted to see my medical records from the dr. I went to 10 yrs ago in CA> so I got those together for him and sent them to him and he should be calling me back to see what we are going to do next. Hes got to hurry up cause Im ready to quit hurting. I told him no shots and no infusions. Just give me a pill to take and IM ok.
David is still trying to get some things accomplished before he has to leave. He has stocked the pantry, and freezers for us and hygine gear. He is mowing everyones yards He is so thoughtful of his family, he always puts us first. He has been reorganizing some of our buildings and moving things. It has been very hot so we do a little at a time.
One day we went on a little road trip and spent the day together. We went to Reelfoot Lake for a duck blind drawing. This was the first Ive been to with them. While David and Dakota were waiting to see if they were going to be drawn, me and Dallas went into the museum. He had alot more courage than I did.The little owls name was Luna. She was 7 yrs old and had been hit by a car and broke one of her wings. The snake was not poisonous. Yuck!
We walked outside and saw more birds. We saw two bald eagles. You see Reelfoot lake was formed by an earthquake many yrs ago and it is still on a fault line. You can research it. Reelfoot Lake in TN. We drove to where the duck blind is that we may get to hunt in Sept. I will be the one taking the boys. David was suppose to since it was a planned hunt but since he has to leave it is up to me.
We had an excellent day but I was so swollen and hurting by the time we got home. I did not think I was going to make it to Sunday School that next morning.
When David is home he makes me lazy. Even my girls and the cats are lazy this summer, it is just so hot. I guess we better get in the groove because Dakota has already started back. Their first day was the 7th of Aug. which is Davids bday. Now Dakota is staying after school for football prac on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wednesdays is church and he knows I drive the church bus to the school to get the after school kids. Fridays are game nights. We are fixing to be very busy busy busy.
All day on the 7th I honored David for his bday and posted pics of him on facebook all day. Ill share them with you.
Here he is so little and cute.Him and Tina his sister School Days Then he decides he wants to be one of the few the proud the marines:Yep and they sent him to Okinawa Japan. The letter he was writing was to me telling me we were going to get married when he came home in two weeks. OH My.
The next pics are some of his proud hunting and fishing tournament moments. Now you see where Dakota gets his passion for hunting, fishing and football.
Me and Dallas got our school stuff in and we will be starting Monday. Whoopie. Not really, I was not ready for summer break to be over.
Thursday they had a scrimmage game at the school. I cant wait to see Dakota play ball again. It just did not seem the same last yr when he took off. He has played a sport since he was 5 yrs old. Games will be every Friday night. I will video tape again but I have to wear duct tape he said. lol.
We have two more weeks to spend with Daddy. He picked me some roses off our rose bushes this morning for me. Hes such a sweetheart and hes all mine.
When he leaves its just me getting everyone to where they need to go.
Well I guess that catches us up to date with us around here. I hope everyone is enjoying whats left of their summer. Hope you start your school year off just right.
