Well we have been busy around here.
Dallas and I kicked it in high gear and finished school same time public school did. We did two lessons a day for two weeks. We were exhausted but SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER….FOR US……Yea!!!!! Dakota did fine in his grades. He passed Algebra with an 83. I am so proud. This is the class where we had problems with the teacher. I cant believe he will be a Sophmore next year. Boy, where does the time go? Dallas will be in the 5th grade and he is struggling with the decision as to wether or not he wants to stay home or go to public school. He so wants to be with his friends too and I understand that. He has alot of thinking to do over the summer.
Now that school is out I can get back to unpacking boxes and putting away things. Got some more stuff organized.
Dallas went to his granny and poppas house and stayed a few days. My old stomping grounds are getting way too crowded for me. They can have it. I like my country living with my farm and land. You can have the city life. I was raised walking bare foot in the yard and having fresh chicken for lunch. Literally, that chicken was walking in the yard just two hours before it was on the table. Ill visit but Ill be on my way back home. If yall want a taste of the country life just mozie on up this way.
I am a great aunt again. My little great niece was having some trouble though when she was born. She was having trouble breathing on her own and eating. Now she is eating and breathing on her own. Praise the Lord.
I can always tell when its time to make david some chocolate oatmeal cookies. Its when he gets this look in his eyes like…..I’ve been a good boy momma and Dakota and Dallas hasn’t….and I’ve picked you fresh roses everyday….gotta love him…
He has been working so hard here lately. He has been playing in our flower bed. This was his project he wanted to do. It looks so nice: That was two of his roses in bloom, we have more but they were earlier bloomers. This is the finished flower bed.
He added some hostas his momma gave him and some more bushes and some sod. It looks really good and I so proud to show his hard work off. He loves roses because he loves to cut some fresh and bring them into me. Isnt he sweet.
I have been having some problems with m RA so I gave in and went to the dr. My medicine I have been taking for 10 yrs has either stopped working or I have progressed. I have to go to a rheumatologist now. But my appt is not til July 31st. Phewy. Just keep me in your prayers.
David found out he may have to go out again some time in August and will be back around the first part of December. Well, you gotta do what you gotta do for your family.
I got some pretty smart kids and I’m dang proud of that. If they think something is not right they don’t backtalk but they will question you about it. You can betcha their watching too.
I have taught my kids you can disagree respectfully with a grown up. Trust me I have seen some grown ups that’s not really grown up and they instigate arguments and then blame the kid for backtalking. Girl please.
I’m so proud of Dakota. He has worked like a dog this week at his summer job in the heat for 9 and 10 hrs a day. He even bought his daddy’s fathers day gifts with his own money. I’m glad he has good work ethics. I have no doubt he will provide for my daughter in love and grandchildren.
I didn’t mean to brag on one kid and not my other. I’m also proud of Dallas. He works for me and daddy taking care of the dogs and my smelly bucks and they love him to pieces. He is learning good work ethics too. He’s learning how to shop carefully with his money. Believe me he compares prices everywhere.
Here lately my girls have been milking to Elvis especially when he is singing I cant help falling in love with you. Seriously they mellow out and get all dreamy eyed.
We had VBS this week at church and Im exhausted. We would get home about 9 pm everynight and I would still have to go milk the girls. But it was fun.
The last night we had a slip and slide. Dakota and one of his friends helped with the little ones to make sure they didnt get hurt and went down with them if they were scared. It was so sweet. Here everyone is having fun I helped with game time this year. I wanted to do something totally different this year since I have always taught. I have made the decision this year in Teamkid too to do game time. Im tired of being the bad guy and always having to get on to the kids, I want to be a good guy for a change and have fun with them. So for the first time in 15years i will not be teaching. That will be a shock for some people.
I have a humming bird feeder right on my living room window, but everytime i go to take a pic, they fly away, little smarties. One day I will get them and take a pic.
Well, today is a sit down day and we are all relaxing after a hard week of work and play. But now we are expecting Nanny and Grandmother to come and eat with us so I guess I better get started fixing what Im suppose to fix.
Til I blog again have a good day.
