I thoroughly enjoy it!!!!!par
I’m still here I haven’t gone anywhere. I have just been laid back and relaxed as we have gotten back into the swing of things since fall break is over. Phewwy. I was really enjoying fall break however the kids were not here. We are miserable when they are not home. They wanted to go spend it with my parents their granny and poppa. I’m glad they have a good relationship with them like I had with mine. They had so much fun while me and dear husband are sitting at home wondering” what do we do now”. Yep thats us. The house was too quiet. One night we did go for ice cream. I got some things done however thats been on my to do list. We were so lazy staying up watching movies and sleeping late. Dakota wanted to come home earlier than Dallas cause he wanted to get some hunting in. It is still bow season and he has been practicing very hard. So far every time they have gone, nothing has come within range. Dakota is excited that now he gets to sit in his stand alone to hunt. Daddy is ok with this, not as much danger with a bow that with a gun. I went back and picked up Dallas on Saturday so I could spend some time with my momma and daddy.par
We had a hay ride at the church that Saturday night that I had forgotten all about so we had to cut our time shorter than usual. It was kind of a disaster for some children. We have been having some problems with some older boys picking and aggravating some younger ones. This has been going on for some time and I have been trying to take care of the problem myself, but it has gotten out of hand and I have had to go to some parents. Let me tell you that you have to pray very hard before doing this because you dont want to hurt anyones feelings. I pray every time before I have to approach someone about something at church because things are to be done in brotherly or sisterly love. If this does not take care of it then we will have to go to plan b and let the kids start taking up for themselves. I know that sounds contrary to what I just said but tough times take tough measures and these little ones has had enough. You have to defend yourself sometime. I am beginning to wonder about some peoples parenting skills. Some kids went to a parent and told them about their son, but his answer was not to our liking. You cant ignore a childs behavior, the problem does not go away, it just escalades. Well see how this goes. I have been very patient in this dept, but Dallas is not. He is ready for me to let him off his chain he says. We will have to pray more.par
Dakota got his report card back. I should have gone to Parent Teacher Conference, but they were gone mowing yards and I do not like to go without him and discuss my child behind his back. Next time we will go together. I like to have both parties present so that way no one gets to lie, because the other is there. They have to tell the truth. I have had other parents tell me about one of his teachers, the one that he keeps butting heads with. I wanted to make sure it was not all Dakotas behavior. The parents whose children have had him before reassured me its not all Dakota. Dont get me wrong, I know Dakota is not perfect, some of it is him. He could try harder in class and he got an F in Algebra. Since he doesnt get along well with the teacher, there goes asking the teacher for help. So, we had to f0rce Dakota(sometimes we have to do that) to bring his book home and tell us what hes having trouble with. Each text book has a website that helps with that subject. So we got on the website and got help with something he didnt understand, now, the light bulb went off. But Daddy was upset that he would rather take a failing grade than come to someone willingly. I do not understand that part of him. I think his pride gets in the way sometimes. He will have to get over that if he wants to pass Algebra. He has always been good in Math, but this with the teacher, is interfering. We will overcome this obstacle too with much prayer.par
Dallas is doing well in school. However, since he took a year off and went to public school, his handwriting has gotten sloppy. They do not enforce good penmanship and cursive writing in public school. Well, now, he gets graded in penmanship, so he is struggling to get back into the habit. He will. We just finished our second book report. He is a good creative writer,he just has to learn to put his ideas into good sentences. Dakota hated book reports. Dakota hates to read. Dallas is ok with it. See your children are different.par
All my girls are beginning to put on weight with their pregnancies. Joe Joe is really getting big. She is just as big now as she is towards the end. Im thinking she may have more than twins this time. She is getting big too early so I have to make sure her nutritional requirements are met. Im still keeping my eye on Miracle and Sugar, I really hope they are pregnant. I dont want to go through drawing blood, because I dont want to stress them out. I copper boloused every one here while back and everyone is getting that pretty pink color back in their eyelids again.par
We had a scare here while back. One of Davids sisters went to the dr. and found out she had breast cancer. They set up surgery really quick and David went. Surgery went fine and she went back for a check up and they said it was gone they had gotten all of it. No chemo therapy but she would have to have a few radiation treatments. Praise the Lord. This is a pic of the flowers he got for her. Photobucketpar
Tomorrow is opening day of juvenile deer season. We have been working with Dallas and his shooting. Shooting a powerful deer rifle is different than shooting clay targets with a pump shot gun. Dallas has trouble keeping his left eye closed. So daddy bought him an eye patch and it has helped alot. He will be sitting with Dallas in the morning. He wants to be the one with him when he kills his first deer. I will be with Dakota freezing my tale off in the tree stand cause its gonna be cold this weekend and me and cold dont get along. Oh, well, the things we do for out kids.Photobucketpar
We are still in late turkey season too but we have mostly been seeing hens and no gobblers. David doesnt like taking the hens cause we need them to hatch more babies. Hed rather take gobblers. I just rather have deep fried turkey if you ask me.Photobucketpar
We have been working really hard on a project, however, I cant tell you what it is yet. I do not want to jinx it. Believer me, I will let you know.par
I want to learn how to knit and crochet. When I was a little girl, my great grandmother was teaching me and my grandmother how to crochet. Her and my great grandpa were experts. They could make anything. I got really good at it, then all the sudden I put it down and never picked it back up again. Well, now I want to. I bought me a book and video on knitting. It only has a few steps but not alot so I need to find another dvd. I got one coming in the mail on crocheting. I know this is going to take a while to learn and get the hang of but it sure will pass the winter time hours when you cant get outside.Photobucketpar
Well, that all for now. Gotta go things ready for in the morning, will be in the woods before the crack of dawn.par

About 4dfarms

I am a wife to an amazingly dedicated, devoted, and loyal husband whom God sent to me. I am a mother to two wonderful boys to whom I'd give my life for. Around here we have homeschooled, we farm, garden, hunt, fish and anything else we want to do. Although I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes its hard for me to keep up. If it was not for my husband and two boys, I could not do some of what I do. They really do help me alot. We work together as a team in my home. We try our best to train up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Yea, they slip sometimes and correction has to be made. Thats life. I want so badly to be just like the Proverbs 31 woman. My grandmother did an awesome job of it and Id like to fill her shoes.
