Well this has been an interesting week. No, I have not fallen out of my barn loft again. lol Its just been a whirl wind around here.par

First, C0coa and Zorro seem to be getting better. I just cant get the weight back on Cocoa like I would like. She has a very good appetite, but its like its not sticking. I will have to do more research. I have been doing so much reading here lately that Ive have about drove myself crazy trying to come up with better management ideas. One I have accomplished is this. Last month, I spent almost $70 alone in hay, that wasnt counting their food. I knew I had to do something. So, I did some pondering and wanted to try big round hay bales. I had to come up with a place down at the barn so as to keep it off the dirt and keep it dry and clean in the weather. So I made a home made wooden pallet, and am using my husbands boat tarp that he dont hardly use til I get my 0wn. So I did some calling around and in my area everyone was holding on to what they got off the last summer cutting to last them all through winter, so no one had any around here. I found a bale and went and picked it up and brought it home. I had to wait til Dakota got out of school to help me get it rolled off the trailer. We did it and it works great. This way, they can get hay when they want it and we can utilize their food more. Ive been rationing hay before and felt they werent getting enough, but it just cost so much. This bale should last mine two months. $40 for two months is not bad at all. I wish I would have taken pics, but I forgot.par

Im really thinking Joe Joe and Ginger are pregnant, because they are beginning to show a little. I hope Im right. Not sure about Tasha or Cocoa. I thing I can hang it up with Princess cause she has literally “run” Bucky to death that he has just quit chasing her. lol She is a wild one. He will have to try harder next year to tame her. lolpar

As far as school goes. Dakota was sick Wednesday morning but said he still wanted to go to school. He had run a slight fever Tuesday night but sweated it out. I waited by the phone all day Wednesday to see if he was going to be sent home but no phone call ever came. But, he still felt bad Thursday morning so I called the school. I got my mother in law to come stay with him while I went to my dentist appointment. He stayed on the couch all day long. I told him if he wasnt feeling better the next morning, he was going to the dr. Sure enough, Friday morning he felt like crap again so Daddy took him to the dr. He has bronchitis. He had to get a shot but he whined about getting it in the butt so they gave it in the arm. He has three prescriptions to take. I called the school and got his assignments and was loaded down with so many books that I couldnt hardly tote them. Hes managed to get all done and he will have some tests when he returns Monday.par

He was excited to know that the high school will start practicing for 9th grade this summer around the first of July. He is pumped up. He is ready for high school, so he thinks…..par

We are having some trouble with Dallas. He hates school so much that he fakes being sick alot and he purposely tries getting in trouble. At least once a week Im getting a phone call from the school nurse telling me Dallas is in her office and says hes been in the bathroom throwing up. So, I sent a note to all his teachers and the school nurse telling them of possible times he might be sick at his stomach, like, if he leaves the house without breakfast or etc. I told them if its not one of these reasons, send him to the nurse and give him a Pepto Bismol, it still want hurt him if hes faking. I got a call from the nurse Friday, and she said he was caught in the bathroom with another boy making themselves throw up. He is purposely coming up with reasons to get me to take him out of school. He hates it so much. But we have talked with him and told him that this was his decision and he knew it was going to be for the whole school year and we are not quitters. I hate to do this to him, but he has got to learn. I will be glad when he will be back with me next year. We are so much alike, we can do our thing and Dakota can do his thing and every one will be happy. I do want him to have a pleasant experience the remainder of the year, so if he ever decides to go back to public school, he want hate it. He has just got to learn to hang in there. They are getting them ready for state testing. This will be his first time taking state tests. I know he will do good. At least I know he has learned.par

Dallas had to go with me to the dentist, because the day before he had gotten hit in the mouth with a ball at pe and knocked one of his brackets off and jerked the wire out and cut his lip. The dr that I went to also works on his mouth at the Pediatric Office where they go. So, I talked to them to see if they wanted to switch dentists and the boys said that was fine. Dallas said he likes him anyway. So now we dont have to drive so far for a dentist anymore.par

I was expecting a quick visit for both of us, but mine took the longest. I got the news that Im in the beginning stages of gum disease. My bones are receeding back in to my jaw bone and this could cause my teeth to become loose and fall out. Crap!!!! She said I will have to undergo an intense cleaning two seperate times and for 2 hrs each visit. She said I will have to be numbed because they will even have to scrape the gums. Ouch!!! I told her she had better sedate me and she said they could, I am terrified of dentists. David will have to drive me cause I will have to take something an hour before my visit and I cant drive. He will take me. Bless his little heart. Im really not looking forward to it, but I guess Ive spent so much time taking care of our children, I forgot about me.par

Week before last, Dakotas friend came over and they worked on their8th grade project together. I think I told you they were making wood duck boxes. Well, after they built another one, Dakota began teaching Hunter how to use duck calls. He got really good. Dakota has been blowing a duck call since he was 7 mths old. David gave him one of his old ones when he was a baby and hes been blowing it every since, talk about nerve racking. He got really good and learned all different kinds of calls each duck makes. par

One of his teachers told him she would not let them demonstrate the calls and that didnt set too well with us. It would be very educational. I think shes not letting them, cause of the noise. I may have to talk to her about this.par

One day while we were waiting for my oil to be changed in my truck, we let Dallas spend his birthday money. He was so happy, he got more Star Wars stuff.par

And while were “still” waiting, they just have to wrestle some. I swear cant take these two anywhere. lol Gotta love em…..par
