pardtx0tx959tx1918tx2877tx3836tx4795tx5754tx6713tx7672tx8631f1fs20 After having a rough stormy night which kept me awake from 1:30 to 3:30 am I finally doze off when hubbys alarm goes off at 4:30am. He goes outside and starts to leave out the drive way when to my groggy surprise "HES STUCK" in the mud. Great I think, I have to throw on clothes and go outside to help. We hitch up to the tractor and get him out of that spot, then a little further down, he gets stuck again, here I go down to the end of the drive way sinking aknkle deep in mud myself crawl into his truck to which I cant reach the pedals any way considering hes so tall, We hitch up again and this time we have to pull all the way to the end of the driveway to the road to where he can get on the road and leave. Guess who has to walk all the way back up to the house in the dark. ME! I finally crawl back into bed and lo and behold have to pee several times before I can go back to sleep. Oh well, I said I wasnt going to complain about anything cause were here and Im happy. We may just have to park at the end of the road until everything dries for a few days thats all. Ha!

God did refresh my spirit and this morning I received a blessing. I got a chance to hear Dakota try to teach Dallas about heaven. It was so wonderful. They were two best buddies this morning. Today we actually had a good day in school. I think sometimes my expectations are alittle too high of my children.  Me and Dakota set in his room last night and had a long talk and we prayed about his behavior. He  actually did  have a sorrowful heart.  We hugged and kissed and all was well again. Today his attitude has been better. I really did appreciate Valaries news letter for just for homeschool moms. It uplifted and encouraged me alot. Its just like she said sometimes you dont think youll ever see any results of what you have done, but eventually when you least expect it, you will. Thanks Val. Galations 6:9 I need to memorize. I have to keep pressing on for the prize that is before me for my childrens sake.

Idid read a article from the editor of teach magazine, it was on discipline. She said to  go into the childs room talk to them about what happened with their behavior, pray with them about it and the  spank, love and kiss. If they are truthfully sorry it will show. Thats what I did last night and it made a huge difference in Dakota today. This will work for me more often, I love my kids to death and I want them to have a Jesus Heart. It does not good to punish when angry, my husband has tried to tell me this before. I guess I should have listened. Maybe thats why their his buddies and not mine. Ha!

Well its rest time for me since my eyes are trying to close from lack of sleep. We will finish Science and History in alittle bit. Then its on to homework. Then time to make supper for my wonderful family.

Thanks for your prayers and encouragement.

God Bless

About 4dfarms

I am a wife to an amazingly dedicated, devoted, and loyal husband whom God sent to me. I am a mother to two wonderful boys to whom I'd give my life for. Around here we have homeschooled, we farm, garden, hunt, fish and anything else we want to do. Although I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes its hard for me to keep up. If it was not for my husband and two boys, I could not do some of what I do. They really do help me alot. We work together as a team in my home. We try our best to train up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Yea, they slip sometimes and correction has to be made. Thats life. I want so badly to be just like the Proverbs 31 woman. My grandmother did an awesome job of it and Id like to fill her shoes.

Now, I'm off to go check out that newsletter. I agree with you…I think we do often expect way too much out of our kids. Mine are teens and I have been very blessed by others, who have came up to me and bragged on how good they behave, so I guess I'm doing something right. ;o)par

Erica tells me all the time that i should use my military training on myself other than them and anylize the situation rather than jumpin in over my head. But its getting better Braxton cried for me the other day when me and Erica split in Wal-Mart to shop. I felt so loved. anyways take it easy hope it dries up an love you
