We had a great weekend with my parents here. My dad was a little sick though due to sinus’. I started getting a little stuffy and hoarse too so I made us up one of those Amish remedies and its working. Hubby grilled ribs and chops that night and he did a really good job. His mother came too. We were as full a ticks when we got through. Ha! My mother has had a time with her hand, the incision got infected and she was put on 4 antibiotics. It is healing up pretty well. We took them riding on our trails and they really enjoyed themselves. This time of the year is always hard for us because my Grandmother who is in Heaven with Jesus, would have been 88 on the 8th, and on the 10th my grandparents would have been married 76 years, and 4 yrs ago on the 12th she passed away. It all happened in a week. My PaPa has a hard time this time of year. We just try to focus on the good times we had with her and rejoice that she beat us there.

Sunday the boys did a good job on their skit about Zacheus (sp). I got to record it. Only thing is Dallas had to stand behind the biggest kids, so I couldnt see him. Figures. Sunday Hubby grilled two whole chickens on his smoker he got and talk about delicious. Then that night he put on a deer chilli for the rest of the week. Boy, no cooking for  a week. How blessed it that? Dakotas last football game is Tuesday night, we finally get some nights free. Dallas is still playing soccer til Nov 5th.

Today was one of those days where Dakota could have cared less about school. all day he ho hummed around, stalling and goofing off. I dont like those days. It drives me crazy. I get so frustrated. I want to just ring his little precious neck God gave him. Ha! I know theres gonna be more days just like this one, I just have to keep going, and stay focused.  If I get unhappy he will too. I recieved a good newsletter from urbanhomemaker.com. she has a really good one. You can sign up for her newsletter once a month. Ive got to go back and read it and follow a link she wrote on attitudes for children and how to correct th em. Im gonna print it too and read it over and over again.

Well I guess my time on the computer is up its bedtime. I dont get to get on the computer much. When I do its mostly to update everyone or balance my checkbook. Ha!

Hope everyone is doing fine and is blessed in the Lord.

About 4dfarms

I am a wife to an amazingly dedicated, devoted, and loyal husband whom God sent to me. I am a mother to two wonderful boys to whom I'd give my life for. Around here we have homeschooled, we farm, garden, hunt, fish and anything else we want to do. Although I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes its hard for me to keep up. If it was not for my husband and two boys, I could not do some of what I do. They really do help me alot. We work together as a team in my home. We try our best to train up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Yea, they slip sometimes and correction has to be made. Thats life. I want so badly to be just like the Proverbs 31 woman. My grandmother did an awesome job of it and Id like to fill her shoes.

Since I have gone back to work, which is only 3 days a week….the kids have actually been getting more school work done. I think it's b/c I'm not on their backs pressuring them. I don't know, go figure. I've not been able to balance my checkbook since the debit card came out. LOL.par
