Hope everyone enjoyed Memorial Day. we went to a Memorial Service at Shiloh National Military Park. I have never been to one before. They had special speakers, the color guard and a representative of every branch of service displaying their flag and playing their anthem. I was so proud when my husband got to stand up for the Marines. You see he was in the Marines and is a Veteran of the Desert Storm War. My Papa is a veteran of WWII. They placed a wreath on an unmarked grave of a soldier. It was wonderful. although in the headlines we lost 10 soldiers in Iraq on Monday. How sad, we  need to lift their families up in prayer.  It was  not a good day for them.  I know how they feel sitting by the tv glued to it day and night just trying to grasp a little news or glimpse of their love one. It was an educational day for my children. we live not far from Shiloh and alot of places where battles were fought and even a few camps of indians traveled through during the Trail of Tears. I took the kids to the TN River Museum here where we live. Very educational.

Cocoa is better, We are making regular POOP now. Yea. . I was so scared I was going to loose her. I take her tomorrow to have her disbudded. It will be tramatic for her for a few seconds, but they soon forget. But I dont know if Im gonna be able to stand it. She is so playful again. She just jumps everywhere. I was sitting and reading the other day while I let them out to browse and out of no where she just jumps on my lap and gets in my face as if to say "Wanna Play?"  Daddy even got to feed the baby a few times for me, I think shes got him wrapped around her little hoofs.  I have got some great pictures of them. One day Ill figure out how to put them on here.

Well Dallas has a ballgame tonight, I enjoy so much watching my kids play ball. Both of them will go to my parents house this weekend and spend the whole weekend with them. Boy what are me and daddy gonna do with all this time? Probably the same thing we always do, twiddle our thumbs and wishing they were here. Oh Well, Im so glad they have that special relationship with them just like I did my Grandparents. I will never be jealous of that!

About 4dfarms

I am a wife to an amazingly dedicated, devoted, and loyal husband whom God sent to me. I am a mother to two wonderful boys to whom I'd give my life for. Around here we have homeschooled, we farm, garden, hunt, fish and anything else we want to do. Although I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes its hard for me to keep up. If it was not for my husband and two boys, I could not do some of what I do. They really do help me alot. We work together as a team in my home. We try our best to train up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Yea, they slip sometimes and correction has to be made. Thats life. I want so badly to be just like the Proverbs 31 woman. My grandmother did an awesome job of it and Id like to fill her shoes.

I just came to your site from Anissa's. I love farm life (in theory). We don't actually have a farm per se, but I would like to get some things going. Chickens, goats, maybe some alpacas! It would be fun I think. Anyway, have a great day. Tammy
