Boy have we had an interesting day. I let the goats out today to play and play the do. The biggest one Tisha, just takes off running and playing and kicking her heels up. She loves to syke you out by running towards you and just stopping short of hitting you. Shes so funny. The baby Cocoa, bless her heart, just tries to keep up. They dont like it when you get out of sight either. Later as Im cleaning out the chicken coop one of the goats decides she wants to be friendly and come on in, scares the chickens and out flies the rooster. Here we go chasing after him. We try everything to coral him, to no avail. He flies on top of the coop, here I go trying to climb up there. What was I thinking!!! Dakota is afraid Im gonna fall, little did he know I thought I was too. Ha! Then he flies on top of the barn, of all places. Dakota tries to throw dirt clods at him. The rooster looks at him as if to say, "Is that all you got?" Finally Dakota gets him down. Here we go again. I chase him in the woods, I get tangled up in briars, trip over every log I think could be out there, find a barbwire fence I forgot was there. We give up for a little while, go in and eat supper, go back out and try to find where hes roosting. The smarty is so clever, we cant see him or hear him. So guess what. Hes still out there. If hes still alive in the morning we’ll try again. We have alot of stray dogs who just love chicken legs. Ha! The goats are doing fine and just follow us everywhere when we let them out. They are so much fun to be around, especially the baby when she cuddles. Tisha gets a little jealous and she will nudge you to make sure you dont forget her. She gets her share of loving too.

Oh well, I got some tilling done and Dakota fertilized 12 rows of corn. Our garden is looking so good. Everyone asks, "How do you keep your garden looking so good?" I tell them, "Alot of work, tears and prayers!" Cause after I work Im so sore and cant hardly move that I feel like crying, then I asked God to help me.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About 4dfarms

I am a wife to an amazingly dedicated, devoted, and loyal husband whom God sent to me. I am a mother to two wonderful boys to whom I'd give my life for. Around here we have homeschooled, we farm, garden, hunt, fish and anything else we want to do. Although I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes its hard for me to keep up. If it was not for my husband and two boys, I could not do some of what I do. They really do help me alot. We work together as a team in my home. We try our best to train up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Yea, they slip sometimes and correction has to be made. Thats life. I want so badly to be just like the Proverbs 31 woman. My grandmother did an awesome job of it and Id like to fill her shoes.
